What each status means
Only your latest sent message shows a status, to keep the conversation easy to read.
Blujay doesn’t tell your contacts when you’ve read their messages.
When a message says Not Delivered
A message that couldn’t be sent shows Not Delivered in red, and the conversation shows a red alert icon in your inbox. Blujay doesn’t resend it automatically, and doesn’t switch it to a different kind of message. To try again:- Copy the text of the message.
- Send it again as a new message.
Why a message might not be delivered
- The number can’t receive it. For example, it’s a landline, or the number is no longer in service.
- You sent a lot of messages in a short time. Each Blujay number has a limit on how many messages it can send in an hour. Wait a while, then send again.
- The attachment isn’t supported. SMS can only carry photos, videos and contact cards, up to 5 MB in total. See Sharing links, photos and videos.
Messages that don’t send at all
Sometimes Blujay can’t send a message, and keeps your draft in the message box instead with a note at the top of the conversation."You've reached today's new-contact limit for this line."
"You've reached today's new-contact limit for this line."
Each Blujay number can only start a certain number of new conversations a day. You can still message people you’ve already talked to, choose a different number under From, or wait until tomorrow. See Your first text to a new lead.
"This contact is opted out. Restore messaging to send or call."
"This contact is opted out. Restore messaging to send or call."
This contact asked not to be contacted, so Blujay blocks messages and calls to them. Only choose Restore messaging if they’ve clearly asked to hear from you again. See Following up.
"SMS and RCS messages cannot be replied to in a thread."
"SMS and RCS messages cannot be replied to in a thread."
Replying to a specific message only works on iMessage. Send a regular message instead.
