Everyone in your workspace shares one inbox and your workspace’s Blujay numbers. Workspace owners and admins invite teammates and manage their access from Settings → Team Members.

Roles

Invite a teammate

1

Open Team Members

In the web app, click Settings in the left sidebar, then the Team Members tab.
2

Add them

Click Add member. Enter their Email address and Display name, and choose Admin or Member.
3

Send the invite

Click Send invite. They’ll get an email with a link to join your workspace and choose a password.
Their status shows Pending Invite until they join, then Active. Invite links expire after 7 days. To send a new one, open the … menu on their row and click Resend invite.

Cancel an invite

Sent an invite to the wrong person, or no longer need it? Open the … menu on their row, click Cancel invite, then click Cancel invite again to confirm. The invite link stops working right away and they’re removed from the list. You can invite the same email again later.

Change someone’s role

In Settings → Team Members, choose Admin or Member in the Role column. The change saves right away.

Turn off someone’s access

Open the … menu on their row and click Disable. They can’t sign in anymore, and their conversations stay in the workspace. To give them access again, click Enable. To have their account deleted, see Delete your account.

Share your numbers

Your workspace’s Blujay numbers are shared by everyone. When you start a new message and your workspace has more than one number, choose which one to send from under From. In an existing conversation, you can switch numbers in the contact panel under Send from.

Assign conversations

Assigning a conversation tells your team who’s handling it. Anyone on the team can assign a conversation to anyone else.
  • To assign: open the conversation’s contact panel and choose a teammate under Assignee.
  • To see your conversations: in the inbox, choose Assigned to me from the assignee filter. Choose Unassigned to see conversations nobody has picked up yet.
Assigning doesn’t hide a conversation from anyone. It changes who’s notified, depending on each person’s Notify me about setting in Notifications.

Ring the right person for calls

Each teammate can have their own forwarding number, so calls about the conversations assigned to them ring their phone. Admins can set it in the Forwarding Number column in Settings → Team Members, and each person can set their own in Call Settings from their profile menu.

Common problems

Only workspace owners and admins see Settings. Ask your workspace owner or an admin to make the change, or to make you an admin.
That email is already on your team, or belongs to the owner of another Blujay workspace. Check the Team Members list, or use a different email.
Ask them to check their spam folder. Then open the … menu on their row and click Resend invite.
The owner’s row shows Role locked. The owner’s role can’t be changed, and the owner can’t be disabled.
