# Privacy requests

> Ask about, correct or delete your personal information, or report unwanted messages.

You can ask Blujay to access, correct or delete your personal information, or for other help with your privacy. How it works depends on whether you use Blujay or received a message from a business that does.

## If you use Blujay

Email [privacy@blujay.io](mailto:privacy@blujay.io) from the email address you sign in with. Tell us:

* What you'd like us to do, for example send you a copy of your information, correct it or delete it
* The name of your workspace

We may need to confirm your identity before we act on your request. Your workspace owns its conversations and contacts, so for some requests we may also check with your workspace owner.

To delete your account, see [Delete your account](https://support.blujay.io/account/delete-account.md).

## If a business texted or called you through Blujay

Businesses use Blujay to message and call their own contacts. The business that contacted you decides who it contacts and what it sends.

* **To stop getting messages:** reply to the business and ask them to stop, or contact them directly. Businesses using Blujay must honor opt-out requests.
* **To report unwanted, unlawful or abusive messages:** email [report@blujay.io](mailto:report@blujay.io). Include the phone number that contacted you and when.
* **For a privacy request about your information:** email [privacy@blujay.io](mailto:privacy@blujay.io). We may refer your request to the business that contacted you, or help them respond.

## Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal information, or to limit how it's used. Residents of California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and some other places may have specific rights under their local laws. You can also ask someone to make a request for you where the law allows it.
